Another example of rural aesthetics. No one bothered me while taking this one, but I'll soon feel the breath of tourists on my neck when photographing the village...
Come and see. Please, feel free to make comments, nice or otherwise, everything is appreciated.

Fabulous BW image with lots of detail.

@Observing: Thank you, glad you like it. It's pretty amazing what time and weather do to wooden doors. This one is in black and white because the real colors were mostly shades of grey and because I think I'm able to better transmit the sensation of the wood being "burned" by sunlight over the years...

For me, weathered wood always hints at romantic tales of what it may have witnessed. This image is tough to present (I cannot fit it completely on my very large monitor). HOWEVER, were it to fit, I don't think I would see all the detail that is grabbing my attention. This image presents itself on several levels. There is the whole and then a step in to the next level of details, and then another step in for the smaller details.
This is something I would have enjoyed photographing as well.

@Henry: Thanks for the comment! I don't fully understand how the images are handled by Aminus3: some photos appear on screen much larger than others even if the originals uploaded are not that different in size... It's true that very large images are not easy to watch. I'd like to print this one in large format, I think it could work well precisely because of what you say: the door was interesting as a whole, and the different wood parts composing it were interesting by themselves.
Great shot, love the b/w image, good detail

@Michael Rawluk: Thanks! Old wood exposed to the weather no doubt makes for a very nice subject!
