@Rhys: This is in the Castille region in Spain, and this "full-of-nothingness" i.e., wheat fields, is what you see all the time. I guess it's a bit like the Middle West in the US. Thanks for the comment, by the way.

@elmenut: són aquests dies amb el cel ben fosc pero una llum en el ambient bastant viva, que fa uns contrastos molt xulos. A més la tormenta hi afegia dramatisme. L'original és en colors i potser la penjo un dia d'aquests per veure les diferències amb el BN...

@Daroru: the storm was moving quickly over the fileds and the sky was really dark, and yes, it wasn't very reassuring. It was nice though...

A Portuguese friend once told me of driving from the Algarve to Barcelona. Along the way I guess there are plains? He talked about driving along side of a storm that was a distance away, but keeping up with it all along. This photo reminds me of that story. Great shot!

@Henry: This is indeed in the way between Portugal and Barcelona... so it could very well be that your friend was around this same area when he saw that storm. In fact this was was taken on the way from Madrid to Barcelona.
love how the road leads you into the pic from the left-hand side and then guides you to the middle when it bends. the rain falling from the clouds on the right adds a nice subtle motion. nice.
